However, if you need to collect checked baggage and/or if you are coming from a non-European destination, the time to exit the plane, retrieve baggage, and potential police checks require significant delays.

To avoid paying for waiting time, we advise you to add a 30-minute buffer for your pickup.
A 30-minute grace period is granted to the driver from the pickup time specified on the order form.
For example: if your pickup is scheduled for 12:00 PM, the actual pickup will take place between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM.

Payment upon receipt: the client is obligated to pay for the goods or service on the day of delivery or completion.
The interest rate stipulated by the T generally corresponds to the European Central Bank (ECB) semi-annual key interest rate (refinancing rate or Refi), in effect on January 1st or July 1st, increased by 10 percentage points.
Example: 10.00% (0.00 + 10) for penalties due since July 1, 2019.

Payment in full: all orders must be paid in advance and will be accounted for as an advance payment of the estimate only. The order is paid in advance either as an advance payment or as a deposit.
The advance payment rate is 100% of the estimated service price, VAT included. (Article L. 114-1 of the Consumer Code).

Thus, the client is obligated to fully pay for their “return journey” as an estimated advance payment, and the remainder of the order form or invoice including potential outbound or return journeys.
Onboard payment is considered a commercial gesture and defers payment for the outbound journey until the service is rendered. If the client wishes to cancel the ride, they will be liable for the full estimated price of the ride.
For onboard payments, a guarantee will be requested (see Article 3 of the said contract); this is a bank imprint that will guarantee a client’s ability to pay the potentially chargeable fees stipulated in the said contract.

Article 5 – Quote

For services not covered by a booking voucher, a prior quote may be requested, provided free of charge by the Service Provider based on information communicated by the Client.

In this case, the booking is confirmed by the Client returning the quote to the Service Provider, bearing the Client’s signature preceded by the date and the mention “Agreed”.

Unless otherwise specified, the validity period of a quote is ten (10) days from its issuance date.

An advance payment of thirty percent (30%) of the total amount including all taxes of the quote may be requested.

Article 8 – Payment

Payment can be made online on the website at the time of booking, by credit card (payment terminal onboard the vehicle), or in cash within the legal limit.

Payment takes place no later than the end of the service and upon receipt; or net thirty (30) days after the invoice date and upon receipt for contracted and renewed assignments (account client).

Article 9 – Late Payment Penalties

In accordance with the Law, any late payment is subject to a flat-rate compensation of forty euros (€40.00) and late payment penalties on the unpaid amount, calculated and invoiced based on an interest rate of twelve percent (12%) per annum.

Article 10 – Cancellation

A booking cannot be cancelled by the client.
Any sum advanced by the client in cash, by check, by credit card, or online payment is considered an advance payment. If the client refuses to complete the booking or registration and decides to cancel the ride, the sum will be entirely forfeited under Articles L21 4-1 to L214-4 of the Consumer Code.

If a client places an order and the platform www.taxi-transfert-lyon.fr (Taxi Transfert Lyon©) cannot honor a service due to force majeure (cited in the said contract), www.taxi-transfert-lyon.fr/ (Taxi Transfert Lyon©) may, as a commercial gesture, offer a refund for the ride in the form of a non-refundable credit.

A credit valid for an unlimited period of time. The platform www.taxi-transfert-lyon.fr/ (Taxi Transfert Lyon©) does not refund any advanced sums in cash.
Onboard payment is considered a commercial gesture and defers payment for the outbound journey until the service is rendered. If the client wishes to cancel the ride, they will be liable for the full price of the service.
Should the client refuse to pay their invoice or order: the platform reserves the right to collect the deposit amount, which will be equivalent to the price of the ride plus additional fees and compensation. The compensation will be inspired by 50% to 100% of the fine stipulated by law in case of fare dodging, €7,000, under Article 313-5 of the Penal Code.
Any sum paid in advance on the sites www.taxi-transfert-lyon.fr/ (Taxi Transfert Lyon©) or directly to an agent or manager will be considered an advance payment, regardless of the payment method used.
Reminder:
Articles L214-1 to L214-4 of the Consumer Code which stipulate that:
A deposit is an amount paid in advance by a client during a purchase. The deposit creates a firm commitment from both the seller and the buyer regarding:
– the consumer’s obligation to purchase;
– and the merchant’s obligation to provide the goods or service;
In principle, there is no possibility of cancellation, neither for you nor for the merchant. Consequence: If you refuse to fulfill the contract, you not only lose the deposit, but the merchant can also demand the execution of the contract and claim damages in case of default.
Failure to pay for a simple order is punishable by law. Obtaining services without payment (‘grivèlerie’) is prohibited in France.
The term used in the French penal code is “filouterie”. This is under Article 313-5 of the Penal Code.
It is an act of ordering a service that one refuses to pay for, or knowing that one will not have the means to pay for it.
The offense is committed if:
• the service was ordered by the client;
• the service was consumed (meal started or finished, room occupied, taxi ride completed, fuel tank filled, etc.);
• the client is materially unable to settle their debt or is determined not to pay before consuming the service;
• fraudulent intent is recognized (this fraudulent intent must precede the consumption; the offense is not necessarily constituted, for example, if the consumer forgets to pay because they are busy on the phone, or leaves suddenly due to a force majeure event, or even because they are disturbed by smoke or noise).
In common language, “filouterie” refers to serious acts, and “resquille” to less serious acts.
Examples of “filouterie”:
Leaving a restaurant, bar, or hotel after being served, without paying the bill;
Getting fuel and leaving without paying.
Taking a taxi and leaving without paying the fare.
Examples of “resquille”:
Taking the train without a ticket (variant: traveling in first class with a second-class ticket);
Not paying the toll;
Not paying for parking;
For example, “cheating” on one’s age to benefit from a reduced rate (cinema, museum, etc.).
Penalties under French Law
“Filouterie” is punishable by a six-month prison sentence and a €7,500 fine, and potentially by an additional penalty (for example: prohibition from issuing checks) or a substitute penalty (for example: community service).
This penalty can be compared to those for “resquille” acts, generally sanctioned by a minor offense fine (less than €1,500).

Article 11 – Contract Termination

In the case of contracted services, any contract termination by either party must be made in writing and sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, failing which it will be null and void, at least five (5) days before the termination date of said contract, with the date of receipt by the recipient and recorded by the postal service serving as proof.

Should the Service Provider be unable to perform a service due to a cause beyond their control (accident, illness, etc.), the contract may be terminated automatically after a period of five (5) days.

In case of contract termination by the Client, for any reason whatsoever, the Client is obligated to pay for all services already rendered up to the termination date.

Article 12 – Force Majeure

In case of non-performance of a mission or delay in its execution, the Service Provider’s liability cannot be engaged in all cases of force majeure as defined by Article 1148 of the Civil Code:

“any external, unforeseeable, and irresistible event”.

Article 13 – Prohibitions

Inside the vehicle, it is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol, smoke, or vape, as well as consume any substances that can be considered psychoactive.

In case of non-compliance, the service may be immediately suspended, with the full price remaining due.

Article 14 – Obligations

Inside and around the vehicle, the Client is required to comply with French legislation, especially the Highway Code that may apply to vehicle passengers.

Minor children remain under the sole responsibility of their parents/guardians/chaperones.

Animals must be in a specialized container for their transport.

In case of non-compliance, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible under any circumstances.

Article 15 – Disputes

Any dispute must be made in writing and addressed to the Service Provider by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, failing which it will be null and void.

A dispute does not suspend any payment terms, late penalties, or retention of title.

No dispute will be admissible beyond seven (7) days after the billing date of the disputed item.

Article 16 – Applicable Law

The law applicable to these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and for all points not provided herein is French law.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts where the Service Provider’s registered office is located, regardless of the place where the services are provided.
